Lemon Chicken Recipe

Lemon chicken is a simple, yummy side dish with lemon flavor. This can be cooked under 45 minutes. Let's look at the ingredients and process for cooking this fantastic lemon chicken recipe.

Lemon Chicken Recipe

Ingredients needed for making Lemon Chicken:

  • 1/4 kg chicken fillet
  • 1 red pepper finely sliced lengthwise
  • 1 yellow pepper sliced lengthwise
  • 1 green pepper sliced lengthwise
  • 1 onion sliced lengthwise
  • 4 green chili slit lengthwise
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of tiger garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • A pinch lemon yellow color  (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of crushed pepper
  • Oil to fry
  • 1 tablespoon of oil for seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves to garnish
  • 2 tablespoons of cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Method for preparing Lemon Chicken:
  1. Cut chicken fillet to thin 4 inch stripes. Use kitchen scissors to do it.
  2. Apply 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric, salt,1/2 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste,1table spoon of cornflour to sliced chicken strips. 
  3. Marinate it for 1/2 hour and deep fry them. 
  4. Drain excess oil on a kitchen napkin. 
  5. Take a wok to add a tablespoon of oil and stir fry the peppers and onion.
  6. Add ginger-garlic paste, crushed black pepper, garam masala powder, food color, fried chicken strips and toss well.
  7. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornflour in water and add stir fry till well coated.
  8. Add lemon juice and mix well and garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve with fried rice or serve as a starter.
